A four day induction program was organized from 29th July to 1st August 2015 for the students of 22nd batch of MBA Course, at the premises of College at Deccan Gymkhana. The inauguration program took place at the hands of Mr. Srinivas Chunduru – Chief HR officer, Piramal Group.The theme of the program this year was ‘Excellence - A Key for Sustained Success’. Mr. Chunduru shared his valuable experience with the students though insightful anecdote of industrial life and words of advice. Inauguration function was followed by the Director’s address, faculty and staff introduction and orientation session on the ‘Code of Conduct’ for the students.
The full-day workshop conducted by the institute Director Dr. Shriram Nerlekar titled “Personal and Professional Effectiveness" on the second day was aimed at the introduction of the qualities and know-how required for the ‘Excellence’ and a successful career in the Management profession. The workshop was based on the basic self discipline and inputs from celebrated authors like Dr. Stephen covey on the subject. Students found this workshop very effective and motivating as was evidentm from their feedback gathered through a write-up conveying their commitment, aspirations and expectations from MBA course.
On the third day students were acquainted with the new Choice based Credit System of the S.P. Pune University. It was followed by an excellent audio video session on the subject of Excellence. IMERT alumni interaction was convened in the afternoon session. Mr. Prasad Kore, Mr. Kaushik Kar and Mr. Waheed Shaikh – all working executive from industry, held the counsel and advised students like elderly brother listening and solving their queries with patience. The highlight of the day was a Session by ‘E-Conclave’ (The Entrepreneurship Club of IMERT) – in association with‘the Indus Entrepreneurs'.Executive Director- TiE, Mr. Mandar Joshi introduced the guests for ‘My Story Session’ to the audience.Mrs. Vishakha and Mr. Dheeraj Agarwal of Vsynergize Outsourcing Pvt. Ltd. shared their amazing journey through their childhood, as an aspiring entrepreneur and present ownership of a the international BPO HQ out of Boston. These dynamic Art of Living teachers cum Entrepreneurs stressed the importance and shared secrets of peaceful and happy life.
On the Fourth day all the students, faculty and Director sir festooned with T-shirts, racks and sports shoes enthralled in the ‘Outdoor Management training’on the grounds of ‘Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Institute of Technology’ at Lohagaon. The one day out of campus journey and team work during the games served better in starting a meaningful voyage of the budding professionals.
